I make software
work better.

I help businesses find what's slowing their applications down, make better use of their databases, and bring AI into products where it actually makes a difference.

HOW I CAN HELP

Better systems start
with better questions.

You don't always need a bigger server, another framework, or a rewrite. Sometimes you need to understand what's already happening.

01

Database engineering

Make your data work harder.

Slow queries, inefficient indexes, and poor data models can hold back an entire product. Find the bottlenecks, understand the workload, and optimize what matters.

  • Query analysis & execution plans
  • Schema design & indexing
  • Transactions & concurrency
  • Connection pooling & caching
PostgreSQLMySQLRedis
02

Full-stack optimization

Fast where it matters. Reliable everywhere.

Performance doesn't stop at the database. Trace the request from browser to backend, identify wasted work, and improve the entire application.

  • API latency & backend profiling
  • Frontend loading & rendering
  • Queues & background processing
  • Observability & reliability

03

AI integration

Turn AI experiments into useful products.

Build AI features around real business needs, with the data access, application architecture, and operational controls required to run them reliably.

  • LLM integration & AI assistants
  • Retrieval-augmented generation
  • Tool calling & MCP
  • Latency & inference-cost control

SELECTED ENGINEERING WORK

Systems I've worked on.
Problems I've helped solve.

A selection of engineering work spanning data infrastructure, database-oriented platforms, and full-stack applications.

DATA INFRASTRUCTURE

PROJECT 01

Kafka · PostgreSQL · APIs · Observability

Real-time enterprise data platform

Designed event-driven ingestion and stream-processing workflows for heterogeneous enterprise systems, with an emphasis on reliability, throughput, and operational visibility.

  • Kafka-based ingestion pipelines
  • Idempotent consumers and event replay
  • Backpressure, retries, and dead-letter queues
  • Processing-lag monitoring and query optimization
DATABASE ENGINEERING

PROJECT 02

SQL · TypeScript · Background workers

Data migration & reconciliation engine

Built a migration platform to move data between systems with resumable workers, incremental processing, and automated source-to-target validation.

  • Schema discovery and mapping
  • Checkpointed, idempotent migration workers
  • Count, checksum, and aggregate validation
  • Audit trails and progress tracking
APPLICATION ENGINEERING

PROJECT 03

React · Node.js · D3.js · SNMP

Real-time operational monitoring

Developed full-stack monitoring experiences for payment-terminal health and latency, bringing live telemetry and network diagnostics into one operational view.

  • Live telemetry dashboards
  • Network fault detection using SNMP
  • Streaming data visualization
  • Frontend performance and code splitting

These summaries describe engineering work, not independently measured consulting outcomes. Detailed case studies can document the specific challenges, decisions, and verified results.

HOW I WORK

Evidence first.
Complexity second.

I don't start by choosing a tool. I start by understanding the system, measuring the problem, and finding out where an improvement will actually matter.

Root-cause analysis over guesswork.
01

Understand

Learn the system, the workload, and what is actually going wrong.

02

Measure

Establish a baseline with execution plans, traces, and performance metrics.

03

Diagnose

Find the root cause and evaluate the trade-offs before changing anything.

04

Optimize

Implement focused improvements and compare the results against the baseline.

Measure before optimizing

A plausible bottleneck isn't necessarily the actual bottleneck.

Fix causes, not symptoms

Adding infrastructure can hide a problem without solving it.

Keep complexity intentional

Every index, cache, queue, and service should justify its existence.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Curious about
what happens
under the hood.

I'm a software engineer interested in how applications behave beneath the surface: how data moves, why performance breaks down, and what it takes to build systems that stay reliable as they grow.

My experience spans full-stack development, data ingestion, migration and reconciliation systems, event-driven architectures, and AI-powered applications. I enjoy connecting these pieces to understand the bigger picture rather than treating each layer in isolation.

For me, good engineering isn't about using the most tools. It's about understanding the trade-offs, solving the right problem, and leaving the system in a better state than you found it.
